Story
Since the day Lord Dillon earned his spurs, rumors of his savagery on the battlefield have preceded him into every room, stilling tongues and sparking fear. Weary of battle, he wishes only to find a woman he can wed who will approach him not with fear but with the tenderness that has been absent from his life for so long. Yet only the wisewoman seems invariably at ease in his presence.

Great writing, Great story!

I must say I am taken with this author's ability to formulate such Great stories. They are presented in such a classy and natural way. All of the books I have read so far engulf me in the story and continues to hold my attention until completion. They give you all you could want in a good book, Great characters, Realistic moments of laughter or sadness, Great wins or losses and a fulling end to each book. This book was no different. I would recommend everyone to read her other books.

Bowen Knight has come back from the dead. But there's a ticking time bomb in his head: a chip implanted to block telepathic interference that could fail at any moment - taking his brain along with it. With no time to waste, he should be back on land helping the Human Alliance. Instead, he's at the bottom of the ocean, consumed with an enigmatic changeling... Kaia Luna may have traded in science for being a chef, but she won't hide the facts of Bo's condition from him or herself. She's suffered too much loss in her life to fall prey to the charm of a human who is a dead man walking.

Everything about this series, the author, and the narrator was excellent. I didn't give reviews on my way to this book, but it would be a disservice to not comment on the wonderfully creative stories, and the talented vocalist who made them breathe. Thank you for sharing your gifts with us.

Story
Okay, so my bad for assuming the guy I was going on a date with wasn't married. And my bad for taking him to a friend's house for dinner, only to find out my friend is also friends with his wife. Because, in fact, he is married. And she happens to be at my friend's house because her husband was "busy working." Confused? So am I. Unsurprisingly, my date's wife is super angry about finding out that her husband is a cheating asshole. Girl, I get it. Then to make matters more convoluted, there is the man sitting next to my date's wife. A man named King, who is apparently her brother.

I kind of hate the one voice n a narration. The is no inflection or emotion to bring me into the characters. The story was good, but the narration often felt lacking.

Story
Loyalty. Duty. Deceit. I never imagined my first trip to Italy would be to bury my father. But there I stood, alone in the ancient cathedral with my father’s casket, a handful of soldiers standing guard. It never occurred to me that anyone would disrupt the sanctity of the moment. But the Caballero brothers have little regard for the church and even less for my family. They marched in, weapons in hand, and turned my world upside down.

I just can't see it. Some components of this story is too unreal. I get that she is traumatized, but her actions at times don't match her story or claimed convictions.

WTF. This shit was utterly ridiculous. Siblings, rape, forced everything along with helpless surrender at every turn. I literially couldn't finish the whole book because the female made me so angry with her inability to stop placing herslef in the path of her abusive sibling. The female character in this book is dumber than a box of rocks and twice as stupid. I beg, please stop making every young female character willing to do any and everything to stop the bullying or forced encounters. That narrative is soooo Over done and cringy.

Paint your toes. Pick up the wrong coffee and bagel order. Drive from Brooklyn to Jersey in traffic so slow you want to tear your hair out. It’s amazing all the useless things I can accomplish while on hold for three hours with customer service. Three hours when I should be getting the Date-in-a-Box website ready to launch at the big business expo in a few days. Except my shiny new website is glitching, and my inner rage-monster is ready to scorch some earth...when he finally picks up. Not the robot voice I expected but a real live human named Kal.
