Story
In 12 Rules for Life, clinical psychologist and celebrated professor at Harvard and the University of Toronto Dr. Jordan B. Peterson helped millions impose order on the chaos of their lives. Now, in this bold sequel, Peterson delivers 12 more lifesaving principles for resisting the exhausting toll that our desire to order the world inevitably takes. In a time when the human will increasingly imposes itself over every sphere of life - from our social structures to our emotional states - Peterson warns that too much security is dangerous.

Listen to it if you identify with any of those types of people or want to become like any of those types of people. Thank you Seth, for being one of the relatively few people on this Earth who actually understand me. You are my tribe.

Story
The gigantic comet had slammed into Earth, forging earthquakes a thousand times too powerful to measure on the Richter scale, tidal waves thousands of feet high. Cities were turned into oceans; oceans turned into steam. It was the beginning of a new Ice Age and the end of civilization. But for the terrified men and women chance had saved, it was also the dawn of a new struggle for survival--a struggle more dangerous and challenging than any they had ever known....

You forget you’re reading a book
Reviewed: 08-29-20
The book does a wonderful job of sucking you into the story. It’s both realistic and emotionally powerful. It’s both artistic and imaginative. It was so long, yet it ended too fast. It was an adventure. I found myself wanting to be there alongside the protagonists, to struggle, and to overcome with them. I found myself developing a deeper gratitude and enjoyment of the comforts and technology of our society.

I can't simply say something cliché such as "It's a must-read." Instead, I feel obligated to explain precisely HOW PASSIONATELY I feel that it is a must-read.
I have read many, many personal development books, and in my opinion, this one rises to the top 5 or 10 books in terms of importance.
For anyone who aspires at all, you must acquire and read or listen to this book as soon as possible.
Just do it. Trust me. Do it.

When I read the book details, I noticed: "An insider's guide to building a successful YouTube channel".
I assumed that the book would be brimming with tips, tricks, software names, strategies, how-to's, and all of that delicious technical stuff.
It turned out to be full of personal stories from her life, which I feel would mainly be of interest to her fans.
I hope that Jenn someday will branch out from her fan world, and try to relate to the rest of us out here by writing a book that applies to all of humanity, rather than just her list of fans.

This book inspired me and changed my life!
Reviewed: 05-17-17
Something about this book just reached out and fixated me. In the beginning, they explain stories of how the lives of people who have followed these principles have improved. As I heard that section (I listened to the book on Audible), I thought about the many similar personal development books that I have already read, and about how I tend to just absorb a small percentage of the information, and then move on to the next book. This time, I decided to follow the teachings in the book, and really integrate them into my life. I have been enjoying the journey, and I will continue to enjoy it as I am reminded every day of each of these principles, due to the fact that I am printing them out and putting them on my wall. In my opinion, the absolute most important part about this book is the subtle genius at the very beginning; that part where the authors do their best to inspire us readers to do far more than merely read the book.
