Glucose, or blood sugar, is a tiny molecule in our body that has a huge impact on our health. It enters our bloodstream through the starchy or sweet foods we eat. Ninety percent of us suffer from too much glucose in our system—and most of us don’t know it. The symptoms? Cravings, fatigue, infertility, hormonal issues, acne, wrinkles. Drawing on cutting-edge science and her own pioneering research, biochemist Jessie Inchauspé offers ten simple, surprising hacks to help you balance your glucose levels and reverse your symptoms—without going on a diet or giving up the foods you love.

Life Changing Book!!
Reviewed: 07-31-22
I’ve been on a health and wellness journey for a few years after recognizing both lifestyle wise and genetically I was destined for Type 2 diabetes. In my journey I’ve had ups and downs and recently have plateaued. This book has helped me to understand why and as I’ve been listening, I’ve already stated implementing the hacks with notable positive changes.
I’m convinced…it’s a life changing book and I’ve already bought 4 copies to give to family and friends who are struggling with various health conditions including Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. I concur with Jesse, there is A LOT of health information out there and much is conflicting. However this information is rooted in science and important for all to know and implement to live healthier and happier lives.

James Comey might best be known as the FBI director that Donald Trump fired in 2017, but he’s had a long, varied career in the law and justice system. He knows better than most just what a force for good the US justice system can be - and how far afield it has strayed during the Trump presidency. In his much-anticipated follow-up to A Higher Loyalty, Comey uses anecdotes and lessons from his career to show how the federal justice system works.

Powerful thoughts on restoring justice with a focus on the American people
Reviewed: 04-10-22
Jim Comey provides a unique look at historical events as a landscape for understanding the importance of the Justice Department and its role in protecting the American people. Though some of the stories are drawn out and can be slow, at times, the latter chapters draw the stories into restoring justice today. Chapter 13 that contains details about the FBI’s role in Ferguson, Missouri are enlightening even to justice professionals. His conclusions are restoring justice are powerful thoughts focused on the American people that is a good read for justice professionals and the citizens they serve alike.

How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.
