Acerca de esta escucha

Have happier clients. Get better results. Make more money.

You can have a more efficient and profitable law practice by being a better manager of your clients, cases, and practice. When we are disorganized, we waste time and resources. Stop Putting Out Fires will help you build a more productive practice by focusing on three areas:

  1. Have happier clients by better understanding their needs and establishing strong relationships.
  2. Get better results through more effective case management and litigation strategies.
  3. Make more money - not by working more hours - but by setting goals and working more effectively.

Stop Putting Out Fires is an indispensable resource for any lawyer who wants to be more productive, capture more billable time, and learn from the hard-earned lessons of others.

probably better if you work at a big firm

I just went on my own and got a couple of books to help get my mind in the right place and get off on the right foot. I really liked the beginning of the book but a huge chunk of The Middle was really focused on large law firms I thought. then had some good information at the end but was not exactly what I was looking for.

Anything but how to stop putting out fires in lawyer practice

Not for experienced lawyers, maybe for very young ones. But unfortunately, it has a disorganised structure that makes it difficult to follow. I cannot understand the mindmap or the silverlining of the chapters. And most of all, the title has nothing to do with the content.
I don’t grade it one star only because it is possible that this book may be helpful for some beginners, as I imagine this is the target of the author

Only good for very new / young litigation lawyers

I was rather disappointed in this book. I was hoping for some good information and suggestions applicable to lawyers in general. Instead, it was very focused upon litigation and the thoughts and ideas work supremely basic. This might be good for a baby lawyer just starting out or someone new to litigation, but for anyone with a few years under their belt or not involved in litigation or dealing with in house counsel, it's pretty much a waste of time.
