Quick Read Romance

This audiobook is an enjoyable and quick romance between Charlotte, the new HR head, and Theo, the workaholic CEO and business owner, who are instantly attracted to each other. The company has a no fraternization policy but Theo can change it if he decides to do so. Charlotte finds a local book club and makes new friends who advise her to take a chance on romance.

The audiobook is well read, has great vocal emotion, and is an enjoyable audiobook. I recommend it when you only have time for a quick listen.

I Enjoyed It

I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun quick romance. I liked Charlotte and Theo. They were both really attracted to each other and thought the other didn't know. Charlotte can't help staring at him and even loses her train of thought. Theo thinks about her all the time to the point of distraction, and wants to change his company's rules so he would have the opportunity to date her. When Charlotte made some friends at a book club in the Curvy Café (those women were amazing!) and revealed her crush on her boss, one of them set her up to come in when he was there, and they finally hit it off. It was really cute seeing them together.

I listened to this story on audiobook narrated by it's author, Flora Madison. I thought she did a great job. As Charlotte, she actually made me laugh a couple times, and it was impossible not to smile when Audrey spoke. I would have preferred a male to voice Theo because it's harder for women to portray a deep enough voice, but overall a very fun audiobook.

This was the first I've read/listened to by this author and would love to come back for more.

This is a short and quick read/listen and first story in the "Curvy Cafe Book Club" series. It is a stand alone read about Charlotte and Theo. He is the owner and CEO of a marketing agency and hired her as his head of human resources. They are both attracted to each other but keep it professional. Charlotte has been invited to join a small book club at the Curvy Cafe. When they meet the girls find out about her crush on her boss. The next day one of the girls steps in and plays cupid. This is a cute and fun story that is sweet and steamy. The book club members are entertaining!! The narration was done well.

Theo and Charlotte

This is(audiobook) book 1 of the Curvy Café Book Series. It can be read as a standalone. It is a quick book, light on plot with some steamy scenes. The COE, Theo, hires Charlotte to head the HR department. She is crushing on him, and a coworker plays matchmaker.
The narration was good.

this is my first book from this author and I absolutely love this audiobook it's cute and fun and so m7ch more.

Theo and Charlette

Own and CEO Theo = workaholic. Charlette curvy and attentive= head of HR in the company. Funny. Work policies blocking and protecting the two headed creature in this book. Thank to friends and a good book, friends are the support to tame the creature. ... maybe. Good listen to. Author read the book. Good fluency with the task. Short listen a lunch read. good storyline to get into.

Theo and Charlotte

Story: Charlotte (h), the head of HR, and Theo (H), the CEO of the marketing agency where they both work, are drawn to one another but neither acknowledges their interest in the other. After joining Curvy Cafe book club and confessing her feelings for Theo to her new friends, she gets the nudge she needs to go after Theo. Sweet office romance with a side of heat.

Audio: The author does her own narration for this audio book and does a really good job with the intonation, pacing, and inflection. For me, the audio would have been even better with a male voice for the male character – I think it really helps when dialogue is going back forth between female and male characters.

Charlotte

Uprooted living arrangement so she could have the perfect job. So she’s feeling pretty isolated, until she happens upon a book club with women who just get her. Don’t we all dream of that? Plus a sexy boss, can she have everything?

The author does the narration for this audio book, normally this means less mistakes but sometimes less enthusiasm while reading. So not the case here. She does an amazing job! She gives everyone different accents it’s easy to tell whose talking. It’s soo good!.

Seemed more like a prequel than a Book 1

I don't think I have had an audiobook that was written and read by the author so it was definitely a nice change of pace. Since it was so short it seemed more like a prequel than a Book 1. I will say it didn't seem like things were moving fast until the end when they hooked up. I wish there was more information about the ladies in the book club because I assume that the the series is about them and it would tie the series together. All and all I like the book and look forward to more.
