Oh my!

At first, I did struggle because of the narrator's interpretation of the characters' accents, the snooty nasal thing. But I began to focus on the words and story line. I laughed and cried. FYI- There were a few scenes with sexual content.

Another wonderful JQ book

First I feel the narrator needs some extra love given the negative reviews by others. Ms. Sterlin’s timing was spot on with JQ’s banter and wit amongst the characters. I listened at 1.1 speed and was completely captivated by the story. I have definitely struggled through some terrible narration, and this was not one of those times.
Regarding the story: it was hilarious, heartbreaking, and lovely. Excited to listen to Olivia’s story next; her charter was decidedly funny and forthright.

A great listen with a romantic storyline, well developed plot and engaging characters. Excellent narration.

Growing love

Down to earth telling, but with dreaming ups and downs of romance fom the leads.

The narrator was excellent but could not save a story that was contrived and uncompelling. The funny bits - not funny, the central friendship - not believable, the central conflict - tedious, the period detail - absent.

I have read this book and liked it quite a bit when I read it which is why I purchased it.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love Miranda's most of all she is strong and inteligent but vulnerable at the same.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrator’s performances?

NO....I almost turned off the story because I could not handle the narration.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did when I bought it even though I have read it befor, however not after listening to the narrator.

I love Julia Quinn however if all of her books are narrated by the same person I will not be purchasing them.

Flawless story and flawless narration! Funny and heartwarming

I was captured by all of it throughout this book and after suffering through the last few books I listened to with dreadful narration I was a bit worried. No need! Jenny Sterlin was magnificent and breathes life into each character! Thank goodness and thank you! On to the next book in the series. Hopefully Ms Sterlin will have narrated it too!

Love Forever

Loved the whole thing! Men can be so ridicules & stupid when it comes to true love🎇 Enjoyed the narratives voice & certainty when telling the story💧😘

Inconsistent

It was almost like different people wrote different parts without reading the others part. The basic storyline was pretty good but there was inconsistencies in character development and the surrounding details.
