Great continuation of the story and nyx was a great addition to the team looking forward to book 3

Redeemed Book 1

Book 1 of Returner's was the first book of Bruce's that I did not consider a master piece. Now I understand that in book one he was throwing the ali oop for book 2. Excellent story. Chris and Jess performed perfectly as always. 5 stars.

Really like both of these narrators. Look forward to these books and to the audiobooks even more. Thank you for the time and effort you 2 put into. Work really well together. Another awesome book by Bruce looking forward to more.

solid book from start to finish. easy to follow and easier to listen to. no complaints

overall good story

another great book. I guess I'll start reading your other books until the 3rd one comes out. I almost gave up on fantasy books until I found this series. I was tired of having to listen to some whimp mc train for 3 books while giving monologs about how philosophical they are without actually advancing the story at all but this MC is very likable and building up strength fast while moving the story along at a decent pace. I normally only read webtoons so I was having a hard timing switching to audiobooks. a lot of them seem to go nowhere for a long time. I will always buy the next book in this series if you keep it up.

ok’ so far it’s a good story. its got a good feel … characters are the normal brand for this author… its s mix between ard and the super hero from his superhero/villain school book with alot more maturity … so this book gets 4 stars because its above average… see how i did that i used the rating system properly

DCC Easter egg

Greast sequel, some things things are missing but they will be explained in the next book. Ch 46 for DCC Easter egg that is cleverly put in(IMO).

Looking forward to a long series

I have enjoyed other works by this author, but Returner’s Defiance is on a whole other level. The world, the development of the characters, and the overall construction of the story. Chef’s kiss!!!
We have a character that knows what is coming but is still surprised at parts. We see his actions effect the world. And thank you so much for not having a truly OP protagonist. Bran toes the line for OP status, but is not unbeatable. Best kind of character, grinding their way to the top and learning as he goes.
Can’t wait for the next one!!!

A bit of a let down, but some fun to be had

I was expecting more from this arc and the way the kidnapping was handled was just so annoying. The first book had a lot more character development and heart. I will check out volume 3, but I am now gun shy on this series.
