Okay

Enjoyed, but may listen to one more before committing to series. Narrator sounds like she's a throwback to the days of "Hair."

I WAS SURPRISED

I passed this series over many times and finally listened to book 1......I was surprised that I actually enjoyed it very much!

a magical mystery

This was a fun listen. made even more enjoyable because of the narration by CSE Cooney. she really brings the characters to life with her ability to take on many characters voices. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

Poor narrator

If you are from the south, you make hear a mish-mash of different southern regions’ accents used interchangeably and the word usage pretty wrong. A lawyer was speaking at times like a brick-layer, which doesn’t track. The story was fine, but the narrator was hard to take.

Lovely to listen to, but…

A little long winded. Much too descriptive, with more details than th story needed. Yikes!!! Yet it was a good

Overly Sweet

While I adore cozy mysteries and desserts of any kind, I found Pies and Prejudice a little too sweet and unrealistic to be entertaining.

Really Enjoyable!

So much fun. I just downloaded the second book. I'm sure I will finish them all over the Holidays!

Delicious mystery

An Excellent cozy mystery that will make you crave pie before the of the book.

No to the Narrator

It's a shame when a good-enough book gets a bad narrator. This book is a little overwritten with a sophomoric use of adjectives, but if you like magical mystery cozies, it's a fine read and a good start to a series. But the narrator gets in the way. It's clear that Cooney is unfamiliar with many of the words, and as a consequence she mispronounces them. Her accents are horrible, which is less her fault than it is the fault of the producer for hiring her. I finished the book but I won't be coming back to the series. It's the narrator who killed this series.

The dog makes the book

I liked the plot. Loved the dog, enjoyed the narration. I would recommend this book. I plan to read all of 4
