Couldn’t stand to even finish

The story at first was ok - but then it just became melodramatic and sappy. It might have still been an ok storyline - but the female narration is SO Bad that I simply could not Stand to listen to it any more. Now - the male narrator was good , if he had a better book to work with but he was operating with a disadvantage of a story line that was WAY Too much like a Penny dreadful. And with a female voice that sounded just like a female in the old time flicks that were tied to a railroad just wailing “Oh NO! What am I going to DO?” And “somebody please help me!” Alternating with the little girl voice of indignation “I am So Sick of them treating me like this!” And then proceeds to fight off the person trying to rescue her and get her away from the real villain who wants to truly hurt her. Get a clue little girl, if the guy trying to carry you away from being tied up in the really bad guy’s bedroom - HE is helping you. So you don’t start pounding on him and demand that he let you go while you are still trying to escape the murderer. So - needless to say - I just couldn’t listen to any more.

Really good start

I enjoyed this story overall, the world building and character development is wonderful, and the performance of Allie Martina and Gideon Frost was spot on, but I can't help but feel this would have been better had it been performed in duet. Lindsey Devin is a new author to me, and so far I like what has been started so I will continue on to part 2!

ok

Warning! this is not a stand alone book this story is drug out for more then one book and is very slow. Its ok but sooo slow going. now i just got done with book 2 and no book 3 to finish the story so its aggravating.

really like the story, but disappointed that audible doesn't have book 4 so I couldn't finish

Book ends abruptly

Book ends in the middle of a sentence 🤷‍♀️. Very annoying. I liked the story though. Hopefully they will fix it and give us an updated version.

Female narration was juvenile and didn’t fit the story in my opinion. Suggest listening to preview before purchasing

Good start o the series but the ending of this book is cut off. Editing may need to be updated.

I listened to this book all day. It is so good. The characters are wonderful and I loved story building!

Adding to my favorites collection. Love the character development and the story. Looking forward to reading more written by this author.
