Good Story
I know there are a lot of negative reviews and how many do not like the main character. But I liked her. She is real. It would be so hard to feel like everyone who was supposed to love you was just using you and you didn’t know where to turn. Yea she can see redeeming qualities in the king but she doesn’t trust herself to trust him because she has been burned before. That’s a lot to take in. I am excited to listen to the rest of the story.

This is the first book in the Wolves of the Night series. This is the first Lindsey Devin book I have listened to. I really enjoyed this book. Reina is the daughter of King of Daybreak pack. The king of Nightfall pack is holding a mate choice competition. Reiner's father is forcing her to be the represent Daybreak. She doesn't want to be chosen. Her dream is to see the world. I was n ok t ready for this book to end. I can't wait for book two. Allie Martina did a fantastic job narrating this book.

FMC….
The overall story is good and some background info sets up the second story nicely. However, the main female character started off strong and very likable then towards the middle-end as she learns new truths about her family/court she turns so insufferable and I never wanted to slap someone so much. Ugh I will try the second book but she is testing my patience. The King is the only reason I am going to try.

Interesting plot
