Acerca de esta escucha
I decided to write this book to inspire all to "never take no for an answer". When I graduated high school, I enrolled in a local college and ended up dropping out because of financial reasons. I also tried to join the military, however, citing health reasons, they turned me down. I tried to apply at a local trucking company, and they all said "no" since I had no experience. I took the state exam to be a police officer and did not score high enough on the exam. Over time, I eventually was able to get the jobs that I had been turned down for earlier, with persistence and determination.
I truly believe life is full of setbacks and disappointments, however, if you handle them correctly, it will enable you to be more successful. In this audiobook, I will explain how I ended up getting those careers after all. I believe you will enjoy this audiobook, and I hope to inspire people to "never take no for an answer" and follow your dreams.

From the beet fields of North Dakota to the wilderness campgrounds of California to an Amazon warehouse in Texas, people who once might have kicked back to enjoy their sunset years are hard at work. Underwater on mortgages or finding that Social Security comes up short, they're hitting the road in astonishing numbers, forming a new community of nomads: RV and van-dwelling migrant laborers, or "workampers".

When Chris McDougall agreed to take in a donkey from an animal hoarder, he thought it would be no harder than the rest of the adjustments he and his family had made after moving from Philadelphia to the heart of Pennsylvania Amish country. But when he arrived, Sherman was in such bad shape he could barely move, and his hair was coming out in clumps. Chris decided to undertake a radical rehabilitation program designed not only to heal Sherman's body but to heal his mind as well - and so Chris decided to teach Sherman how to run.

No guidance came from his mother or his father. It was no wonder he gravitated to machines, which could, at least, be counted on.
