Toby Price has lived a truly remarkable life, filled with ups, downs and every bump in the road imaginable: a childhood racing prodigy from the tender age of two - there was hardly a paddock that could contain him. After tearing through the junior ranks, taking out titles in both dirt track and motocross, Toby was living the dream, turning pro at 16 and joining the formidable KTM Racing team. Soon he was turning heads internationally and tapped to take on the most forbidding enduro courses the sport could throw at him.
But the clock and the elements weren't his only adversaries. The death of his adored sister, Min, the tragic loss of mentors and rivals in the desert, countless broken bones and an accident that should have paralysed him for life - Toby's story is a study in staying true to yourself and following your passion to its ultimate end: rain, hail or shine. The person who emerged from the crucible of so many trials is now one of the most beloved figures in Australian sport, a kid from the country whose need for speed took him to the top of the podium - and he's not about to slow down now.

Balls of Steel!
I’ve been looking for a good Dakar Rally insight and was surprised to find that The Toby Price had one when he mentioned it on his IG. I think most moto people are a Toby fan and should be, and this gives a good story of his upbringing and what he has Endured to become Dakar champion. The chronicles of his injuries almost made me stopped listening, but I endured. Thanks Toby for your story!

Captures the trials and tribulations of the Moto life
I enjoyed every minute of this literary journey. Price captures a lot of the majesty of the Dakar and the overwhelming desire to ride a motorcycle. There is no pretense in this book, it is simply a tale about a man who cannot and will not quit until he achieves his goals. Wonderful audiobook!

Madness Glorified
I've been a fan of Toby's for almost 10 yrs now and was only vaguely aware of all the adversity he faced to reach his various goals. So much fortitude was required for him to continue after so many years. Truly inspiring.

Great insight into Dakar, and dirt bikes
No doubt Toby will go down in history as one of the Dakar legends. This book was a great journey into is life and what it takes to compete at the Dakar. My only complaint is the recording isnt smooth in some early chapters. It seems to skip or hiccup occasionally.
Aside from the technical issues, if you're a bike guy this is another book to dive into.
