Dr. Henry Jekyll, or rather a monstrous part of him, makes Shadowvale a more dangerous place for everyone, no matter how hard he tries to stop that side of himself from emerging. He’s doing everything in his power to control it, but control is hard, and solutions don’t come easy. Fortunately, the town understands he needs to be left alone.

Until somehow things go wrong, and he gets a neighbor. Izzy is incredibly nice, and for her own safety, Henry knows he has to tell her what everyone else already knows. That he’s a monster. But he only ends up shocking her and turning her against him. Then another disturbing encounter makes her understand he was telling the truth and that they are so very much alike.

When they join forces, their collaboration feels like a match made in heaven. Except for the part where the town is being targeted. And Izzy seems like the one causing all the trouble.

Can Henry battle his own demons in time to save Izzy? Or will the monster in the mirror be the ruin of them both? Only time, and love, will tell.

Loved It

As always, loved it and the series! I hope there will be more to come!

The story is interesting, but I’m not a fan of the narrator.

I’m sure the narrator is wonderful in many ways, but his women’s voices are awful. It kind of gave me the creeps to even listen to it.

Always worthwhile

Always a good read. I have loved everything that the author has written. Hope you will enjoy it also.

I love shadowvale

Shadowvale is an amazing town. I love Painters books and especially the audio versions and the narration by BJ Harrison. Izzy and Henry are great character additions to the town and loved the cameo by Thurough.

I really enjoy visiting Shadowvale! The whole town just seems amazing! This is Henry and Izzy’s book! Henry has a family curse.. he is Dr. Jekyl and of course he has a Mr. Hyde. This is a great story I didn’t want to put down! I loved visiting with old friends in the town and also learning more about Thoreau. Hopefully he gets his own story!! Can’t wait to visit again!! I also really enjoyed the narration!

Beautiful intriguing tale

Just love his books, all her of her little towns of mystery. Different mysteries to go with the people. I really enjoyed this book and hope more to come.

Cute storry and Excellent Narrator

I always enjoy Kristin Painter books.
They are so light hearted and pure.
it takes me away ftom my problems.
The narrator is the best narrator for this kind of stories. Such a soothing voice

Hoping the next book comes out soon. Fun to read them one after another. Story holds you attention very well and leaves you wanting more.

A bit short but still great. If you liked the other books then you’ll like this one.

Another Winner in the Shadowvale Series

Love the Shadowvale Series and this 6th book is no exception. Add Dr. Jeckle and Mr. Hyde, a mysterious young single woman, with a little magic, romance in a paranormal community and you have this story with a different twist. If you are new to the series it is best to start with Book 1 first and read in order since each book builds on the other.
If you are a sci-fi buff and want to listen to something light, clean and always putting a smile on your face at the end, this book (and series) is for you. You will enjoy the stories, and the narration which both are excellently done. My only negative is with the title. I do not think this title represents the story at all and could hinder possible potential readers/listeners. I’m ready for the next book.
