Children's fairytale
This was a pleasant diversion, but certainly not thrilling or thought provoking. I think labeling it as "mid life women's fiction" is way off the mark. It was a somewhat interesting though predictable story that is closer to a children's tale , not even young adult. Even the narrator sounded like he was reading to a young child.
It has potential, but seems more like a rough draft that hasn't been fleshed out with anything exciting.

Captivating
Intrigue, disappointment, sorrow, incandescent joy, excitement, budding romance, and so much more. I wish I’d have waited for the follow on books as I am disappointed I cannot move on right away to the next installment. Well written, descriptive, and a great foundation to the upcoming series. I can’t wait to see the development of all the characters!!!

I Loved Everything about this Book!!
What a great story that goes from our reality here to the Fae realm. Sparrow is a character whose story I will be excited to continue to follow . She is intelligent, bold, caring and a true leader. This book introduces us to Ro, the realms, her family and the people of the kingdoms. I was hooked from the opening words and kept turning on the audio to continue every chance I got until finished! Every character in this book made me want to know more about them and how they will continue to interact!! I will be (not so) patiently waiting for the next book to see what happens next!!!

Very fun
Downside the ending is too abrupt - good story enjoyable. But even stories with sequels should end on a ending of sorts. This one didn’t.
