Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I listened to this book via audible. It was enthralling and entertaining.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I liked the heroines naivety and her perceptiveness at the same time. I admire how she befriended everyone she met and made them feel better or richer having crossed paths with her. And on a deeper level, the cross race acceptance was commendable?

Any additional comments?

A romance where good triumphs over evil and love conquers all. And magic can be used for good. Lovely.

A very charming Fantasy Romance

This book was exactly what I hoped it would be, a charming love story, two characters I liked a lot, due to the story line and surprisingly entertaining dialog between the sexy Ertemis and the feisty Jessalyne. There are twists and turns that make the story interesting along with an excellent cast of characters to support the couple's story. I was never board and was sorry to see it end. B.J. Harrison is narrator who knows how to enhance the story with her voice, kudos to her excellence!

Great story!

Thoroughly enjoyed it, would listen to it over and again. Sweet little love story to relax with your eyes closed.

The narrator B.J. Harrison did a wonderful job with this book. He did a great job with the different voices of each character in this book. It was very easy to listen to and I didn’t want to stop listening until the end. If you are looking for a great book with well-developed characters then you need to listen to this book. I am looking forward to listening to the next book by this author and narrator. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. LOVED IT!

This was an impulse buy that popped up in my suggestions quite awhile ago. After finally listening to it, I wish I'd done it sooner! The story was great, and so was the narration. I only wish there was another book to follow it up. I would love to know what happened to some of the great sidekicks/secondary characters introduced in this book.

Love this book lots of romance and action. Great characters would highly recommend it for reading or listening.
And I do love the sound of the narrators voice. He is a very good narrator the different voices he use are wonderful!!!

of course you did a beautiful job narrating Karma and I just loved the story and the character and I could really find myself reading more about these characters

Wish there was more

This was a great stand alone book but I wish there would have been a series. I loved to slow love story and the ending was great. If slow burn is your type of love story then this is a great book for you. There is a good plot and a good balance of action as well.

But it

This was actually an impulse buy that turned out to be an excellent story and narrator. It's nice to finally listen to a story that isn't completely caught up with graphic sex every other chapter. The author actually concentrated on building the romance and relationship of the main characters . The sexual tension is definitely there but unlike other stories I have listened to lately it's a romance not erotica. I was able to listen to the entire book with out skipping past the literary porn. I'm definitely going to look into more from this author.

I love a Painter/Harrison combo!

I really enjoyed this story. It is quite different then the other Kristen Painter books I usually read. I.e. Her Nocturne Falls and Jayne Frost series. It was nice to see a different side to Mrs Painter! This is about Jessalyne a sheltered woman who finds out she is not who she is suppose to be. She hires a deadly man Ertemis to escort her, which is not something he really wants to do. This is a great fantasy with mages and elves! i also absolutely love the way BJ Harrison narrates, the voices fit perfectly with the characters!
