A lovely twisted classic
I’ve always had big problems with Snow White’s character arc- I mean she leaves her kingdom after her aunt is defeated in the end of the movie to be the queen of another kingdom- but this book truly reinvented her without trying to change her personality completely. It reads like watching the classic movie but a much better movie at that. I enjoyed all the new insights in Snow’s childhood, her mother and Ingrid’s development, as well as her relationship with Heinri and her father. I am not so excited for the 2024 movie adaptation but it it were an adaptation of this book I wouldn’t mind.

My favorite book in the series this far!
I’ve read quite a few of these books already and this one is my favorite so far. Good weaving of the previous story, good intrigue, great back story expansion, with just the right amount of suspense.

Loved it!!!
My second twisted tale read & im not disappointed. It kept with the original story basics but gave it a refreshing twist. I can’t wait to read more. Definitely recommend.
