A new perspective

You never outgrow a marvelous fairy tale… at least I hope you never do! Brilliantly written from a very different perspective. I loved this book. The story captures the true essence of strength. Strength of the heart and mind; courage, love and forgiveness.

A very good story

This does have a slow start, but its so good once you get past the first 30-hour.

Great ending

It’s a little slow to start but becomes better and better with each chapter. Well written and well narrated.

Great story! I love the adult fairy tale genre- and this book is an exploration of how we might reconceive fairy tales when women own their strength and support each other.

Every girl should hear this story!

The dark inspirational story of what happens after the happily ever after for Cinderella. I laughed & cried, my heart broke and mended again. This is a story for those who have felt like they can never measure up to societies idealism of beauty but that you find your happieness by being your true you.

amazing! Jennifer Donnelly has done it again

This was the best fiction book I've listened to in a long time! I was so into the story I finished it in two days. It contains just the right mix of magical, evil and female empowerment we need more of. I really hope they make a movie

Unexpectedly Good Twist on an old Fable

It didn't fail to produce and follow through on unexpected twist and turns despite the origin that the original story derived from beginning to end and at the same time stay true to the purpose of fables which is to learn something that will help you to strive in today's world all the while keeping you entertained.

Amazing Story and perfect detail, loved it!

Jennifer Donnelly did it again! wonderful story of the evil step sister, l could not have pictured a more perfect story of forgiveness, bravery, and a chance to be yourself, regardless how ugly you are.

Marvelous twisting tale! A must for young (and old) girls

Far better than Cinderella in every way! If I could give the story and especially the narrator 10 stars I would. Jayne Entwistle has become one of my top 3 narrators. Mat she always find books worthy of her narrative abilities. ❤️

Good read

Ran the hook on x1.7 didn’t take to long to get through. Good story. Would recommend for people who enjoy Disney stories.
