Too much filler

These novels lack substance to the plot. Absolutely too much chit chat that adds nothing to the mystery. I've had a hard time listening waiting for something to happen. While very clean, I would not use a credit for again.

Virtual narrations are awful!

Please stop using virtual narrations!!! it’s like Nails on a chalkboard.
How can you tell if you like the book or not when the virtual narrations are so DEAD sounding. Save the virtual for chats when your problem solving or asking for a description, but to have them read an entire book totally killed every book I tried to listen to. I am a huge audiobook enthusiast for MANY years Dating back to cassette tapes and CDs and I have never given up listening to one because it was so painful. I love to listen to audiobooks at different times of the day, during different things that I’m doing.
I actually look forward to going to sleep at night & put on my favorite audiobook. I listen as I wind down during the shower then set the timer for 15 minutes and I fade away. The virtual narration has actually kept me up at night and I’ve had to rewind it a plethora of times. Just trying to get a grip on where I was in the book. I’ve never been so upset about a decision to not use real actors. oh my God please don’t kill the audiobook by trying to save a buck. might’ve felt like a good idea at the time but it’s 100% not working!!!!!!!!!!

Narration

The AI narrator mispronounced words, confused me as to which character was speaking in conversations, either had no inflection at all or an inappropriate one. The actual ‘books’ really make one book together as opposed to 18 individual books. I was disappointed.

story might have been good if it had different tone/voices for characters. hard to follow

Halting performance

This collection had a fair number of errors. The stories were pretty simplistic and felt like they were written using AI also. I listened to the entire collection because I purchased it, but really wish I had purchased something else.

Great story lines

I enjoyed the plots that unraveled and each characters back story. The narrations were horrible and difficult to follow.

With more than 140 reads from author Meredith Potts/MZ Potts/KM Morgan/Amelia Morgan, I welcomed the chance to read Cake, Coincidences, and Casualties (Majestic Cove #3). Well-written & enjoyable. Not just another cute, clean cozy mystery. I've been on a Meredith Potts reading kick this week trying, & failing to catch up on her books I own & haven't read yet. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Clunky wording repetitious and no point

First, it’s almost academic sounding. I don’t mean the virtual voice, but the way it’s written. And there really is no mystery. It’s just like random episodes in a PI’s life. Some connect and some don’t. Each “book” is more like a chapter in a book—but even at the end of the series there is no conclusion. Also, there is a good amount of prayer and thanking the Lord and then the “universe” trying to tell me something. These are inconsistent. Pick one and stick with it.

don't bother

The plot is boring and poorly written and read. No acting or inflection of any kind. A big miss. tried to listen to give it a chance but finally had to stop.
