Chocolate With a Side of Murder, My thirtieth read/listen from author Meredith Potts and the first in the Daily Buzz Mystery Series, Longer than many of the author's books I've read. Well-written & enjoyable. another cute, clean cozy mystery.

Great Read

Sabrina Daley 5- Book Cozy Mystery Set was a great read by Meredith Potts. This boxed set consists of; Chocolate with a Side of Murder; Caramels with a Side of Murder; Apple Pie with a Side of Murder; Lemon Bars with a Side of Murder; and Cookies with a Side of Murder. Chocolate with a Side of Murder: A Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery was a great read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina still is haunted by her sister's disappearance that happened ten years ago. She still hopes that they will find out what happened to her sister. Unfortunately, Sabrina finds a dead body in the alley behind the coffee shop. The police don't seem to have any leads or get any closer to finding out who killed the man. I enjoyed listening to Sabrina's story of looking for the murderer. Caramels with a Side of Murder was another. great read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina goes to a local psychic that predicts that her missing sister will be found. The psychic can't provide any more details, unfortunately when Sabrina goes to get more answers she discovers Miss Terri dead. Sabrina helps discover what happened to Miss Terri. Apple Pie with a Side of Murder: A Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery was a good read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina investigates a death at her favorite restaurant. Unfortunately for her there are so many suspects that could have murdered the victim. This was another great read about Sabrina's sleuthing tactics. Lemon Bars with a Side of Murder: A Daley Buzz Cozy Mystery was another great read by Meredith Potts. Sabrina discovers that a hypnotherapist is giving out illegal mind-altering pills. When she goes to confront him, he turns up dead. Sabrina starts to look into who killed him. Cookies with a Side of Murder by Meredith Potts was a great read. Sabrina's sister went missing eleven years ago. She has never stopped looking but hasn't had any luck. One day everything changes when her questions start getting answered. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more by Meredith Potts.

Virtual Voice narration ruined it!

This was the first virtual voice read audiobook that I had listened to and it completely ruined the book for me. It seems like a good story but I wasn't able to finish even the first book due to the narration. A narrator make or break an audiobook and this one completely broke it. There was no way to distinguish between the characters, no intonation in the voice, and everything was done in the same monotone that it was like listening to a bad professor lecture. And someone could have at least put a pause in-between saying the chapter number! It's like someone just fed the book into and AI program and instantly published it. Truly sad! AI can be used for a lot of useful things but it should not be used in this case

listening to the story as it evolved. A live person narrating would have been better

I don't like the AI narration. There isn't any real emotion. My choice would be more for other audiobooks narrated by one or more real narrators.

stupidest cop on record

hate the virtual voice, the story is ridiculous because NO cop we would let his girlfriend do what she did. on top of that, unrealistic relationship, dating for a year, all the "I love you" and then he "drops her off at home after their dates. it doesn't need sex but needs to be believable as a relationship, even if it's just a reference to a "sleep over".

after a short period of time of reading you knew what was going to be said next it was almost as if things were cut and pasted the idea of the story could have been really good I believe and I hope that the writer keeps trying the Ia reading was horrible it has no emotion and when it tried it failed I don't want to hear IA read a story again and you could not tell when it changed characters at all so as if the same person was saying everything well it wasn't a person

Sooooooo repetitive

I do not like the virtual voice. It is annoying how many mistakes it makes in pronunciation and inflection. The interaction between characters is unrealistic.
