The moment the gun is pressed to her forehead, she knows she has a decision to make. Follow the rules and maybe possibly live, or go down swinging where at least she can salvage just a little bit of her dignity.

And when Mr. January himself tells her to do what the gunman says, she’s had enough. Rowen has never really been a girl that does what she’s told. Mr. January won’t have to save her. She can dang well save herself.

I didn't expect Dax

In Harley's story Dax was, broody and mysterious. I was a little shocked he was so nice ! He is so normal in the story everyone else's crazy was even more amusing, or concerning depending on whom you are thinking of.

SO, SO SORRY

I have listened to every book available on Audible written by LLV and have loved them all. She is one of my all time favorite authors. However, this one was ruined by the narrators. I had to actually concentrate hard, as if I was listening to an incomprehensible educational manual, for this book to keep my attention. I also had to quit and listen to something else (twice) in order to talk myself into going back to finish. Narrators can certainly destroy a story if they aren't good narrators. In my opinion, audio books should be performed, not just narrated. These two did not perform, and sorely disappointed. I will be asking for my money/credit back which will be a first for me with this author. So sorry Ms. Vale even though the storyline was good, these two narrators just didn't work for me.

i’m so glade daxx found someone but the narrative doesn’t sound like daxx so it drives me nuts row it’s okay but for daxx i would have thought the reg would have worked oh well it’s still a good read i love how all the free birds kids and swat kids r finding true love HEA

Narration leaves a lot to be desired

I LOVE this series! I have read, and re-read these books on my iPad, but decided to listen to them while a work. The male narrator isn't that bad, but the female is BAD. I hope the other books in this series have better narration or I might have to skip listening to them. 🙁

5 ‘You’re Everything’ Stars

On the narration - The audio was great and exactly narrated in the mood I expected of LLV's awesome characters, but omg, Noah Levine was the PERFECT Dax, It was spot on on how imagined Dax 'sounding'. LOVED IT!!!

On the story - Sweet Baby Jesus… Talk about starting the year with a BANG! Just Kidding is EVERYTHING, and Dax and Rowen are absolute PERFECTION together!

Well, I thought the OG KPD SWAT couldn’t be beat, but it seems this new generation are going to give them a run for their money, and I’m soooooo here for it!

Ms. Vale once again rocked my world with these two. The gripping way Just Kidding started, the slow build up that left me glued to my e-reader, and the sexual tension until Dax and Rowen finally gave in was just absolute romantic suspense perfection.


Rowen (first of the OG KPD SWAT’s, Luke and Reese’s daughter) and Dax (Freebird’s third couple, Max and Peyton) are everything I want in my romantic main characters and more. Their background, the instances in which they ‘meet’, their insta-connection, and their overall awesomeness and love for one another stole my breath in every way.

Lani Lynn Vale usual winning formula has once again worked its magic, I was hooked from the first to the last page. The relatable characters, the everyday setting – added with a bit of danger, it is a romantic suspense, after all, lol – the banter, the back and forth between siblings, the touching relationships with their parents… OMG, I soaked up every one of those interactions! Dax and Rowen’s deep love and care for one another shone through in every page, the centerpiece of it all, but we had so many hilarious moments, so many touching scenes and let’s not forget, such scorchingly hot and passion filled sexy times, it’s impossible not to let yourself submerge into this brilliantly created ‘new’ LLV world. And after seeing all the rest of the ‘calendar’ crew, boy oh boy, am I really for the next one! Bring it on, I need it NOW!!!! <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Dax and Rowen

I absolutely love Rowen and Dax. Poor Rowen, she endures a lot but she hold her head high and moves on. I enjoyed how protective, understanding, and lovable Dax was with Rowen. Lani Lynn Vale is amazing, she never disappoints.
As far as the narration; they were a little stiff but didn’t take away from the story.

Give me More, More, More SWAT 2.0 men! This story was so beautiful & hilarious. Our leading lady is a victim of bullies and you have to love it when you can stick it to them! Dax is Mr. January and he is getting all the attention in this book. Rowen is his love interest and she is fully enjoying watching it play out as well. The HEAT level is high in this story! 🔥

Dax’s narration by Noah Michael Levine is dark, silky and the delivery of clever comments just makes me giggle.

Best Series Ever!

I love all of your books! I would say that they are all my favorites and continue to listen to them several times over. 😀🔥They are works of art to me. I am looking forward to your new series coming out. The one after the circus series. 🎊🎉 Excited all over again. This couple was so sweet that it made listening to them all over again exciting. I was also able to come across some of the originals in your other books. Keep up the good work LLV!!!
