Faddis expected to be on the ground in Iraq within weeks, the entire campaign likely to be over by summer. The 4th Infantry Division never arrived, nor did any other conventional forces in substantial number.

Heartfelt Perspective of the Tripoli Evacuation
I had to double take on the narration. The narrator did a superb job capturing the emotions I’m assuming the author felt. The switch from flashback to current evacuation status was a nice method to keep it from falling into a chronological lull. She does a good job of making it personal, and reminding us it’s a personal perspective.
