As an American, although I spent 4 years in the Air Force, I have lived a middle American life un-afraid of what’s out there because of Americans like you.

I have 2 kids who are Paramedic Fire Fighters that I am gratefully proud of, but this book reminded me of the men and women like you who put their lives on the line, the contribution of immigrants and the reality of how fragile our lives and democracy is. I love our democracy and country.

Good book written more for the understanding of the overseas seasoned operator than your typical civilian 9-to-5’r

Well done!

Rick Prado did a great job writing a story that must have been very hard to write. I spent 28 years in law enforcement and have thought about writing my story, but haven’t. The hurdles to writing that kind of story seem overwhelming. You have to be careful about showing too much about your agency’s strengths and weaknesses out of respect to the ones still on the job. You have to respect the privacy of the ones that were with you on the job. And some stories just can’t be told for various reasons. Rick Prado is a true patriot that did a remarkable job.

Terribly overdramatized narration

I wish that I could have rated this book 5 stars. It is an exciting, meaningful & provocative autobiography of a an outstanding & heroic recently retired CIA operative. It has an excellent narrator. However, the narration was over dramatized to the point of distraction. Otherwise it could have been for me a page turner that I may have listened to again 2 or 3 times.
