Updated review: wonderful collection!
I was mistaken in an earlier review when I thought the wrong story had been recorded.
This is a collection of four stories, and the collection has the same title as the 4th story. All are wonderfully written and performed but my favorite is Story #4: Governed by Whimsy. It offers insight into the lives, crises, and triumphs of secondary characters in the Amaranthine universe. Found family abounds both here and in the first three tales!

Beautiful Anthology!
This is the first of two anthologies, holding four novellas in Forthright’s brilliant Amaranthine series.
These stories give background lore, introduce characters that flesh out a fantastic world, and show the many variations of love and family. I highly recommend reading the first book or two in the Amaranthine Saga before diving into this anthology, as some of the stories will not make as much sense otherwise.
Narrated by the amazing Travis Baldree, each character sparkles to life.
I’ve been a fan of Forthright’s works for years, and cannot wait to see what they write next!
