Stellar Narrator
Sampled several versions of “The Nutcracker and The Mouse King” that are available on Audible, and this by far is the best. The narrator’s performance is wonderful and it felt like I was right next to the fireside with him as he read the story. The introduction at the beginning provided enlightening context but unlike most audiobooks I’ve heard, is not a rigidly structured segment but more like a discussion the narrator is having with the audience that flows right into the story - i.e. more informal. I really liked that touch as it reinforced the spirit of the “fireside reading”. Will definitely listen to this again!

OUTSTANDING!
I am a collector of Nutcracker books and this has been the best yet. I tend to listen to an audiobook while I am decorating for Christmas. This recording provided amazing historical background and the reading was excellent.
