Good progression, bad use of the art of war
the author keeps mentioning the art of war but never actually applies an tactics. Also its mentioned that beasts have a strategic advantage at night but MC purposely ignores it. Further a general does not lead from the front which he does way too often. The war also starts and ends in around a month which is crazy fast and more like a blitz. Otherwise the MC gets much needed power ups which would have been better if time skipped through years of war hardening him.

A lot of repeating
Literally repeating sentences. I know that is the style at times but it was getting a little lazy I guess. He progressed a lot, but it wasn’t anything great. I love these books, but make the progression better. The MC can literally do anything.
