The story and the characters
The story was good and very I guess the best word to say is sad. It main follows two lovers which was odd and something new in 40K. It good just took me by surprise.

Excellent representation of the Kreig

Wow. What a read. I’ve read many black library books, but I don’t think any capture the grimdark and hopeless feel of the setting as well as this. Truly lightning in a bottle.

Tear jerker
Everything was done extremely well. Timothy Watson always does an amazing job. The performance was superb. The story was perfect and so sad, but an amazing story nonetheless.

Great story
First warhammer book and honestly I really enjoyed it. There was a lot of ups but man are the downs hard. You have 4 characters each with their own story in a world on the edge.

Higher-Grade 40k
Second review. 110-120th 40k audio novel. (Road-warrior occupation, eff off). Die-hard ADB and Chris W supporter. Won't distract from this to discuss others.
Got a flash of something quite good here, having bought this without really checking the author. Halfway through and looked him up as someone to queue up next in the playlist, turns out he did Krieg (which was fun) but otherwise just some short story stuff. Nobody tell GW, I think they might've hired another author.
