The story
With her mighty wings spread wide and Ardent Blade aflame, Saint Celestine is the living embodiment of the God-Emperor’s wrath. Her halo blazes like a star upon the smog-wreathed, blood-soaked battlefields of the 41st Millennium; its holy light leading the faithful to victory time and time again. As heretics and daemons tear at her flesh, she calls down fires of retribution from on high to smite the wicked and unrighteous.

If she is to fall in battle, none should mourn as she is Celestine, the Living Saint, and death is her duty. Though it comes at a great cost. For each time she is slain, Saint Celestine finds herself trapped in a terrible realm of suffering and torment. A fascinating and powerful story

I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook. The narrator was clear and well-spoken, with an appreciable range of voices to distinguish most characters. The story was a fascinating look into one of the most prominent characters in the setting, with plenty of attention given to other characters to show how the Living Saint impacted them. I would highly recommend giving this one a listen.

Great Lore on Living Saints

Excellent audiobook illuminating the lore behind what a Living Saint is and what they go through.

A very enjoyably 40k novel. Well done with good characters. I would recommend it even to people who aren’t normally interested in the 40k universe

An introspective into the trials of the Saint

An excellent and informative view into the figure of imperial legend, this covered more than just another war, it gives a definitive first person view of the burdens and powers of Saint Celestine. if you ever had questions about the her, this will help answer those questions. Expertly portrayed by the Narrator, this book brought me closer to the character than I expected.

Amazing

I LOVED this story. I'm a huge fan of Celestine, and Emma Gregory does an absolutely FANTASTIC job bring this entire work to life. She is one of my favorite VAs. I'm over the moon that she got the chance to do this story. Now I can forever picture Celestine with Emma's voice!! ❤️

The Author has Clearly Read Pilgrim's Progress

First of all, the narrator did a fantastic job. The lore was an absolute treat.

My mind would be blown if I discovered that the author has not read Bunyan's Pilgrims Progress. The imagery, pacing and direction of the side story practically screams it.

The story sets up the beauty of the ending well. All in all a fantastic piece of literature.

Great Book!

Narrorator was fantastic. could tell the difference who was speaking at what time. Story was okay. I loved the time focused on the more human characters and their fears and overcoming them. the end was rather lackluster with its enemies and felt like the Saint really did not need to be there for them to accomplish their mission, but that is an opinion. Give the book a try!

Great performance, “inspired” story.

This story is definitely good, and Emma Gregory did an amazing job with the voice lines, but the story is decently predictable, and “inspired by” the Pilgrim’s Progress, but it is still a great book if you like both Cadian Guard and the Sororitas.

no downsides, only service to the emperor.

A great read with zero nonsense or author failings. partake in this glory and enjoy

It was moving.

It was a great work of literature. this was the first time a book brought me to tears, I do not know what it was but I became aware that tears started flowing down my face, after an hour listening to the audio book. Great writing and a stunning performance by Emma Gregory.
