When I work up the courage to tell Rip I love him, I am met with rejection. He tells me he treasures our friendship too much. That statement might as well be a knife to my heart. I want to hold out hope that he’ll change his mind. Instead, he moves on. The only choice I have is to pretend that doesn’t slay me.

Is this for real?
Are we to believe this is how country folk behave, or is this stereotypes on steroids? Simple, everything in black and white; going off half cocked over little of nothing; fueled by alcohol? I find this hard to believe and didn’t enjoy listening to it. Despite the book contents, the narrators did a good job with characters.

Not worth the listen.
The narration on the last two books was just wrong. The reading was slow and the story lines left me wondering why I used a credit for this.
