Good

I liked it enough to buy another one in the series (I’m reading them out of order). Switching narrators each chapter takes some getting used to because each one voices the male and female characters differently. I believe this series would have worked better with only one narrator, as the four I’ve listened to so far have unevenly matched voices. One is usually louder; one is usually slower. Still, it’s fun to have found a series that’s interesting with good mysteries and a realistic, non-sappy love interest.

Excellent Story and Narration

the narrators did an outstanding job. The story was very good and the period details helped to draw the listener in and enabled them to envision what was happening.

Good mystery

Really enjoyed this book ,very gripping and narration was excellent. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Great narration

The narration is great, as per Granger's other books. The story is very interesting and worth the time. I liked the characters and the red herrings. I didn't think it's quite as easy to listen to since there are so many characters, but that might be me. I am definitely continuing to the next book.

Corpses Aren't Cute

Loved the overall premise and performance;however, the story got a little "wordy", at times. What I mean is the description of situations re-telling got too long sometimes.

If your into period books

It was different… loooog winded but if you like details of the period and linguistics go for it. Nice little story but a very slow build and a lot of period detail.

Nice historical fiction

A sweet novel based inLondon of days long gone. Very believable characters and a good plot.

Good story and offensive free

Finally. A book that is not violent does not have graphic sex, and does not have swearing, just a really really good murder mystery. It says a lot about an author when they don’t have to rely on violence, sex, and swearing, to give their book appeal. Excellent storytelling. Couldn’t put the book down. Was wonderful. Can’t say enough.

Predictable and formulaic

She wastes too much time on trivia and creates a typical Hallmark movie tale of love.

Couldn’t finish.

Too mellow dramatic. Yikes, I need 12 more words, halfway there. 4 more. I think I have enough now.
