Good story but…

The story moves slowly at first but picks up pace & becomes very intriguing. However, the narrator nearly made me stop listening. She has a breathy voice (which sort of fits the book) but tends to trail off at the end of sentences, making the last word or two disappear. While I enjoyed the book, I won’t be listening to any more by this narrator.

Ridiculous Narrator

The story was better than average for a serial mystery. The narrator lacks range for the characters and it often sounds like Moira Rose from the show Schitts Creek is reading the story. When she announces the next chapter, she says it in a way that one can imagine her rolling her eyes. Speeding up the narration is a must with this narrator.

No Stone

Good read attention grabbing thinking what else can go wrong? I liked this read very entertaining

Just needs to be set to 1.5...

The story is decent, although lackluster in its resolution. I wouldn’t have been able to enjoy it, though, if I hadn’t set the speed to 1.5. Without that small tweak there were painful pauses and the narration pace seemed unusually sloth like. With the tweak, narration seemed perfectly normal and enjoyable.

Exciting!

So many twists and turns. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. I loved the characters and the way the heroine evolved as the book progressed. If you like cozy mysteries, you will love this book. Can't wait for the next one.

good story, narration was a bit monotone

I dislike that whispersync hardly ever works which makes it a big rip-off. Quality has dropped to 90 percent bad and with a no return policy for cash and card purchases, it hardly makes it worthwhile to buy an audible book that won't sync with the digital contrary to promises made during ads and sales info.

Bad accent. Good story.

English accent sounds fake and over done, particularly the pronunciation of “a”s. Can be quite distracting.

Great story, narrator not so much.

The story line was enjoyable however the narrator was terrible! I kept listening because the story kept me interested.

The Narrator is AWFUL

The narration is terrible. Unbelievably slow and odd inflections cadence. The performance really takes away from enjoying the book which is entertaining. Speed up the narration. I wish I had an option to change the narrator. lol
