Villain is frustrating (in a good way)
Revisado: 02-04-25
The third Painting the Mists box set continues to impress, deepening the story’s complexity while pushing Cha Ming and his allies to their limits. The worldbuilding remains as rich as ever, and the character development continues to shine, with both heroes and villains leaving a lasting impact.
A particular highlight of this installment is Jo Li. As an antagonist, he is infuriating in the best possible way—cunning, relentless, and always a step ahead. His presence raises the stakes significantly, making every victory feel hard-won and every setback all the more frustrating. He’s the kind of villain you love to hate, and his role in the story makes for some truly gripping moments.
With its well-paced action, intricate plotting, and increasingly high stakes, this box set is another fantastic entry in the series. I can’t wait to see how the conflicts continue to unfold!

A Strong Continuation with Deepening Intrigue
Revisado: 02-04-25
The second Painting the Mists box set builds upon the strong foundation of the first, expanding both the world and its characters in meaningful ways. Cha Ming’s journey continues to be filled with hardships, opportunities, and moments of genuine growth. While he does receive his fair share of fortune, the challenges he faces ensure that his progress never feels unearned.
One of the standout aspects of this set is the depth given to the supporting cast. Their development adds richness to the story, making the world feel alive and dynamic. The intrigue surrounding cultivation, fate, and the greater cosmic forces at play keeps the narrative engaging, ensuring there's always something new to discover.
Overall, this second installment is a worthy continuation of the series, delivering an exciting mix of action, strategy, and character-driven storytelling. I’m eager to see where the journey leads next!

I Enjoyed it
Revisado: 02-04-25
I approached Painting the Mists with some skepticism after reading reviews that claimed the protagonist was overly fortunate. However, while Cha Ming does receive many opportunities, his journey is far from effortless. He endures significant hardships, and his growth—both in strength and character—feels well-earned. The worldbuilding is rich, and the supporting cast adds depth and nuance to the story, making for a truly engaging read. This box set is an excellent introduction to a unique cultivation series, and I look forward to seeing where the journey leads.

Very good story
Revisado: 01-22-25
I absolutely love Vampire Heretic and the way it’s written! The storytelling is engaging, the world is immersive, and the series has a great balance of action, intrigue, and character development. Every book pulls me deeper into the universe, making it an absolute joy to read.
That said, my biggest frustration lies with the protagonist. He’s supposed to be a highly intelligent and immensely powerful being, yet his actions often don’t reflect that. Whether this is an intentional way to nerf him or just a flaw in the writing, it can be quite jarring at times. For a character of his supposed caliber, I wish he demonstrated more of the intelligence he’s meant to have.
Despite this, Vampire Heretic remains a fantastic series that I thoroughly enjoy. The strengths of the storytelling far outweigh this flaw, and I’m eager to see where the journey leads next!

The world is filled with nightmares, and the looming threat of losing his soul stands between his goal and his reality, so it’s not like it will be too hard or anything. Hell should tremble. A good man is going to war.

Fantasstic sotory
Revisado: 01-22-25
One of the novel's standout features is its character development. Vincent's pragmatic yet endearing personality shines through, especially in his interactions with his son, Luke. Their dynamic is both amusing and heartwarming, adding depth to the storyline. As noted in a Goodreads review, "Vincent’s quite chipper and amoral approach to a world that views him as an unholy terror was pretty amusing."
GOODREADS
The book's pacing is well-executed, with a balance of action, character interaction, and world-building. The LitRPG elements are seamlessly integrated, enhancing the plot without overwhelming the reader with technical details. As one Amazon reviewer mentioned, "There is plenty of action to keep the story moving forward, and Vincent has a charm all his own."
AMAZON
Humor is a consistent thread throughout the narrative, with witty dialogues and situations that elicit genuine laughter. The author's ability to infuse comedy into a fantasy setting is commendable, making the reading experience enjoyable from start to finish. A reviewer on Royal Road expressed, "I have spent all day reading this today and could not put it down."
ROYAL ROAD
In summary, "Death, Loot & Vampires" is a delightful read that offers a perfect blend of adventure, humor, and heartfelt moments. Benjamin Kerei has crafted a story that not only entertains but also leaves readers eagerly anticipating the next installment in The Vampire Vincent series.

Great Continuation
Revisado: 01-22-25
I really enjoyed Book 1 of this series and was excited to dive into The Games of Olympus! This installment continues to deliver an engaging story with strong worldbuilding and an intriguing plot. The action and progression keep things moving at a great pace, making for an enjoyable read.
That said, I’m not a huge fan of the “bro”-sounding characters—it takes away from the immersion a bit. While it’s a minor gripe, it does make certain interactions feel less compelling.
Still, I had a great time with this book and truly hope we get the rest of the series to see the story through to its conclusion. I’m looking forward to what comes next!

Defeating her rival, the victorious Arke prepares to claim her prize, the powerful God Seed. Revisado: 01-22-25
Becoming a God Made Easy is an absolute delight! The worldbuilding is rich and immersive, drawing me in from the very first pages. The characters are compelling, each bringing depth and intrigue to the story. The pacing strikes a great balance between action, progression, and moments of reflection, making for an engaging read throughout.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can’t wait to see where the series goes next. If the future installments maintain this level of quality, this could easily become a standout series in the genre. Highly recommended!

I love all the books… but
Revisado: 09-20-23
Endless Potential, Constantly Undermined
At its core, this series has a fascinating premise and a world brimming with potential. However, Richard’s character progression is one of the most frustrating aspects of the story. Despite being a monstrous figure who has lived for centuries, he is repeatedly nerfed with each new book. Meanwhile, every immortal created by William turns into an unstoppable force, making Richard’s stagnation even more glaring.
It’s baffling that someone with his longevity neither grows significantly stronger nor demonstrates the wisdom expected of someone with his experience. Instead, he remains frustratingly static, outclassed by newer characters and seemingly learning little from his long life. This pattern drains much of the excitement from his journey, making it difficult to stay invested.
While there are moments of brilliance in the storytelling, the repeated setbacks and lack of meaningful growth for Richard hold the series back from truly shining.

Solid Listen
Revisado: 08-01-23
Crusader Vampire is an absolute thrill ride! The fighting scenes are nothing short of spectacular—vivid, intense, and perfectly choreographed to ignite the imagination. Every battle feels cinematic, drawing me in as if I were right there, experiencing the clash of power firsthand.
Beyond the action, the story is engaging, and the world is rich with depth, but one thing that frustrates me is how dense the protagonist can be when it comes to wits. For someone surrounded by danger and intrigue, he often seems slow to pick up on things, which can be exasperating at times.
That said, the sheer excitement of the combat and the immersive worldbuilding make this book an amazing experience. If you love adrenaline-fueled fights that leap off the page, Crusader Vampire is a must-read. I’m eager to see where the story goes next!
