Good review of language learning techniques.

This audiobook is a nice and general review of various common sense learning techniques (reading, watching movies, listening to audiobooks, etc) to learn a foreign language. In particular, it talks a whole lot about Anki, a memorization tool available as Anki Droid on android (open souce). In fact, I downloaded a pre-made deck of the 15 000 most common Italian words from Anki's website and reversed the card order to have English first (rather than Italian first), which allows me to translate English to Italian (rather than Italian to English), a more challenging task.
To summarize, this book changed the way I am learning Italian and therefore is highly recommended, particularly for beginners.

Helped me achieve fluency in Italian!

This wonderful audiobook helped me attain fluency in Italian. To explain, I recently finished all 5 levels of Pimsleur Italian but still could not understand Italian when I watched Italian movies or TV. After listening to this audiobook, I could understand most of what I hear listening to RAI (Italian TV). This fantastic book by TalkinItalian helped me to greatly increase my vocabulary and understanding of spoken Italian. The narrators are topnotch and make it easy to understand and "absorb" what they are saying. If you want to attain Italian language fluency the quick and easy way, this is it.

Thinking in 3 languages at once is a rush!

With this unique audiobook you actually expand your consciousness to be able to think in three different languages at the same time. This program really exercises your brain and leaves you with what can be described as a "brain rush." To explain, I was already bilingual, speaking both English and Spanish fluently. Interestingly according to scientists studying the brain, being bilingual has many positive medical benefits, including protecting the brain from dementia and Alzheimer's. Can yiu imagine the positive benefits of being trilingual?
I had a friend who was studying to become a professional interpreter in two foreign languages (Spanish & French). I remember him complaining that every time he tried to say something in the second foreign language (French), only Spanish came out. He apparently had a "bilingual barrier." This audiobook helps you get past the bilingual barrier and actually become trilingual. What a rush!

A hidden gem for learning intermediate Italian.

Due to the personal recommendation by the author, I found this wonderful resource for learning Italian at the intermediate level. The native language narrators are top notch and the material is just what I needed to increase my vocabulary and understanding. In fact, this is really three books in one:
1) A dozen short stories are included in the accompanying PDF guide in order to increase your vocabulary and reading comprehension.
2) There is a great concise grammar guide to explain how to structure sentences in Italian. Finally I understand how to use direct and indirect personal pronouns in Italian.
3) The main narrative covers a lot of useful words and expressions missed in Pimsleur Italian (I listened to all 5 levels). Like Pimsleur, the material is repeated at precise intervals in order to automatically memorize the material.
If you are like me, and are a serious student of Italian, this fantastic audiobook should really help you achieve your goal if achieving fluency in Italian.

ONE OF THE BEST TOOLS FOR LEARNING ITALIAN

I am at the Italian level A2 and this audiobook really helped me increase my vocabulary and listening comprehension. Previously, I completed all five levels of Pimsler Italian (which is great) and Michel Thomas (which is also good). I then tried Michel Thomas Advanced Italian Course and was very disappointed with the course merely consisting of him randomly saying random Italian words out of context with a heavy German accent.
With this audiobook from Talk in Italian, I am finally on track to completing my goal of becoming fluent in Italian.
This audiobook is good for all levels from entry to A2 . I could go on and on, but suggest that you just try it out for yourself.

This Italian vocabulary builder is a great resource for both beginning and intermediate students.
In my case, I am an intermediate student who just finished both Michel Thomas Italian and all five Pimsleur Italian Levels. Now I need to increase my vocabulary and this book fits my needs perfectly.
One hint I would like to give fellow students is to first read the material BEFORE listening to it. In my personal experience, reading first can really help the learning process. Furthermore, I believe that listening to each phrase multiple times helps you to remember the phrase. Listening to it for just one time does not work for me. In addition, I recommend reading the passage out loud, thereby helping you memorize the phrase.
In addition, I would like to commend Lingo Mastery (the publishers of this book) for helping me out when I emailed them with a question.
Wonderful audio and a great accompanying PDF booklet make ths Audible book a great selection for any Italian language learner, beginner or advanced.

I just finished Pimsleur Italian 5. Now what? I still can't understand Italian newspapers or TV (e.g. RAI) all that well. So what should I do? Most other Italian learning audio books on Audible are way too basic for me, so this book represents one of the few offerings aimed at students like me.
One recommendation I would like to give fellow readers of this wonderful resource is to first read the material BEFORE listening to it. In my experience, this really accelerates the learning process. In addition, I would recommend listening to each passage multiple times to transfer the material from short-term memory to your long-term memory. Finally, I would recommend that you pause and read the passage out loud. This too helps you remember the material.
One last thing I would like for Audible listeners to know is that the publishers of this book really help me out and responded within minutes when I emailed them with a question.
To summarize, great recordings, advanced content, and fantastic support. What more could you ask for?
