One mistake leads to a year of exile....

Forest Ranger M. Z. Morgan has lived in Lake City long enough to be considered a local. The pace, the quiet and the many friends make life there well worth the lack of dating material. A girlfriend would still be nice, and the new sheriff is easy on the eyes. It's entirely natural for Morgan and Reese to be friendly, but Reese's repeated reminders that she's not sticking around make it impossible for anything more between them.

That is, until they strike a no-strings bargain. Some guaranteed exchange of heat as the long winter sets in seems just what they need to pass the time. So what if it's the best sex they've ever had? It's still only temporary. They won't mistake sex for more, even if it only gets better - month after month. After month.

No strings - it seemed like a good idea at the time.

This was a fantastic book with good narration. I love the banter between the main characters that kept the dialog interesting. Short read, but highly recommend.

Abby Craden’s voice makes this a marvelous audiobook. Gerri Hill’s writing is among my favorite authors. The characters are authentic and the romance is touching. Ver erotic story. Recommend.

5 stars to Gerri Hill and Abby Craden for this one. It’s going on my favorites list.

Short but sweet

are the given names of the two lead characters, it was entertaining to hear the ladies refer to each other by the names on their birth certificates; names they both despise. These two characters made cameo appearances in Snow Falls as Ryan's friends and it was good to see them in a broader context. Their romance was standard for the author including the obligatory contrived break up scene before HEA moment; I suppose I should give a SPOILER ALERT prior to revealing those details but since it occurs in almost all of the genre, particularly those by Gerri Hill it isn't really a spoiler. There are a couple of light action scenes and I love the isolated setting in the depths of winter scenario; for all of her predictability the author tells an excellent love story most of the time. This is one isn't her best but still a great listen.

This is one of the most beautiful and frustrating at times lol book. You root for the characters and want to shake them. Ask them why are they being so stubborn lol. I love it.

This is such a sweetly cheesy, feel good, romance book! You'll be grinning from ear to ear like a love sick idiot while listening. The two leads have excellent chemistry and banter and their love is believable, sweet, endearing and enduring. 5/5 no notes

Constant Grinning

But how do they get there?! Of course you have to read this book! If chemistry is a firecracker, these two characters are fourth of July fireworks! From intimate compatibility to witty banter, this romance is the stuff of dreams. The circumstances are contrived to create a full awareness of another human being, and what starts out as a punishment for one of our leading ladies, soon becomes her redemption. The backdrop of local law enforcement, dangerous weather, small-town gossip, and cute characters round out this wonderful story. Great narration brings the story fully to life! Highly recommend!
