About this listen

An even feistier American. A wickedly hot Scot. Passion ignites.

Calli Douglas has avoided romance for five years, bound by a promise she never should've made to a man she doesn't love. Now, he refuses to let her go. When she leaves her backwoods hideaway to attend her cousin's wedding, Calli has no intention of meeting a man. But fate has other plans - in the form of one scorching-hot Scotsman.

Aidan "Don Juan" MacTaggart is the living embodiment of carnal pleasure and seductive prowess, but he longs for love and commitment. The moment he sets eyes on Calli, the stunning American captivates him. Though she's sworn off sex and romance, unraveling the mystery of why tantalizes Aidan almost as much as her sensual curves.

As their passion for each other inspires them to explore their steamiest desires, a deeper bond takes root. But when secrets from both their pasts threaten their happiness, they must confront their fears or lose everything.

I quit after chapter 8. Sorry

There are two problems I had with this book.

1. The narrator was awful. I tried to listen and persevere... but eventually gave up. At times Mary Ann Weathers speaks really fast and then other times slows down. This can be annoying. BUT the biggest problem I had was that the HOT SCOT sounded like a leprechaun. His voice is soooo bad and I just can't get into the book. Imagine a beautiful woman wanting a hot Scot in a kilt who sounds like a leprechaun. Not what I signed up for.

2. I found the characters a bit too young and immature for their respective ages. Their dialogs showed no intelligence.

I gave up. Sorry. I think this is the end of my ride.

I loved the first book but am blown away with how much I loved Wicked in a Kilt! This book was full of romance, comedy and steam but it has just made me want more! The narrator did a great job bringing the story to life and giving voice to these amazing characters. Ms. Anna Durand made another fantastic book. The whole story was engaging and loveable. I don't know if it runs in the family or not but I want more HOT SCOTS!!! This book and series is a must to put on anyone's list!
