Pleasantly Surprised!

The Masseuse kept popping up in Audible's suggestions for me. Honestly, I read the description several times over a number of months before finally taking a chance on it. I'm really glad I did.

The storyline had me intrigued from the first chapter and I found myself ignoring work and generally procrastinating so that I could keep listening. I finished in two days and have already purchased books two and three. It's not a cliffhanger per se, but I'm very glad I discovered this trilogy after all three books were available. Nothing like instant gratification!

Worth a credit? Definitely. Summer Roberts did a stellar job and the story kept me interested and entertained. Looking forward to more. I'm off to start book two!

Always feel a certain way about a new author or narrator. But I absolutely loved this book. Am looking forward to continuing the series

Lust at first sight

I liked the unusual premise for this romance with a mystery. The characters were interesting.

I liked this story but am confused by reviews I read talking about a cliffhanger? I'm not sure I see that but I am looking forward to the next book. I will say the seemed like an ending so I am not sure what could be to come?

Just enough of the right stuff

This book was really enjoyable. I love the different storyline. Something original to me. This author really knows how to write steamy scenes and that makes me like her even more!

The narrator did a great job relaying the characters and made it really easy to follow and get drawn in.

Looking forward to the next book.

MUCH MUCH MORE THAN JUST A BITTER-SWEET ROMANCE

Anna had a lot of childhood baggage which means she's never in the same State for long - she's strong and loving but on the inside she's vulnerable and damaged but now she's trying to settle in Florida where her best friend lives. Anna's job as a Masseuse lands her a home visit job for a ruthlessTycoon but once there she meets the sexy, mysterious and gorgeous Alec and he will turn her world upside down..... because their sexual chemistry wasn't just sizzling it was flammable, combustible and dangerous for them both. Although he was passionate, tender and oh so sexy, there were a lot if secrets, mysterious phone calls and a redhead that kept popping up but the more Anna pushed for answers the more Alec pulled away.

The characters had me at the first Chapter, then came the passion, lust and sex which further drew me in but what kept me totally enthralled was the intrigue because there were a lot of suspicious activities and secrets that needed to be answered. And when they all came together in one climactic heart-pounding reveal the fallout was catastrophic, heartbreaking and deadly..... with some shocking twists, suspense and it leaves a beautiful love story that is damaged but thankfully not broken..... well not yet anyway.

This well written and described captivating story is told from Anna's POV and the Narrator did a great job in capturing all the emotions, tensions and heartache that's felt in this twisted love story and it's loveable characters, along with it's beautiful love story, will stay with me.

Worth a credit? The hours flew by as I was entranced in it's unfolding love story but I was blown away when all the bitter secrets were painstakingly revealed and then, as the Chapters were speedily dwindling with no HEA in sight, I was pulling my hair out only to finally learn that this is just Part 1 of the Body Trilogy.... so be warned!

Cold Sex - No Personality

I might have liked Anna (the masseuse) if she was more mature and less wimpy. When Anna met Alec (cold macho man), she agreed to a sexual relationship with no strings. Alec shared nothing except his bodily fluids and kept disappearing without explanations.

I lost interest before the half way mark, due to a total lack of character development and dispassionate sex scenes. Alec professed to "care" for Anna while acting bossy and condescending, then started hitting Anna as "punishment" for her lack of faith in him.

Anna thought that good orgasms equaled to an emotional connection; if Alec is f**king me, then he must love me. Really? Anna needed therapy to grow a backbone and develop self-respect. I couldn't be bothered listening to the rest - life is too short!

Kind of stupid

Anna lets lust overpower her brain constantly and makes stupid decisions. There were also several key points that were nonsensical.

Bubblegum romance gives it too much credit.

This story is unbelievable. I stopped listening at the third chapter. I would return if not for the sale I purchased it from.
