I can not even tell you if the narrator is human or one of those text to speech bots. The story seams a little heavy on the sex scenes but might be enjoyable if I could tolerate the narration.

I like that Reed James is expanding his Fantasy/LITRPG content. I think he might be able to grow into doing a pretty good job in the subgenre if he wants to. He just needs to invest in a better narrator. Catherine Carter sounds like she's reading the phone book to a comatose hospice patient. As always, the story carries the narrator here.

Just a reader not a narrator, characters MAY have different ascents but there voices (both male and female) are all the same. Words are often mispronounced through the entire series, there are pauses where there shouldn't be and place where there should be pauses there aren't.

Needs better narration and editing

I know the story gets better from here because I read it online beforehand, It's a slow burn but that isn't always a bad thing, stories with a lot of sex can be fine just make it interesting. so if you want to give me a try I would recommend it.

Not to Bad

DNF. Made it about 3 hours in. The narrator is reading this fast and with no acting at all. I wouldn't say monotone, but there is no distinction from character to character or emotion to emotion. Not flat, but like they're reading you information out of a textbook.

The story itself could be interesting, and I'm not one to usually say this, but almost too much explicit xxx. Like almost non stop that it gets in the way of the plot. The interactions are between characters are pretty cringe, but honestly it was hard to judge because of the narration and the difficulty of distinguishing between characters.

This might have been way better with a different narrator. It's hard to say.

Honestly I should have headed the warnings of other reviewers. I read the reviews before buying and listened to the preview. Even saw that the author had various books posted and saw the narrator's name a few times. Really! I thought it wasn't going to be that bad...

I made it half way through chapter 6, almost 2 hours.

The story is probably ok but the narrator turned me off the book. The sound editor had a couple of hard cut edits were a section was cut or the narrator resumed the story from a break and the audio overlaps for a click.(not bad but very noticeable to an audiophile)

The narrator is pretty much one note of emotion and tone. There is absolutely little to no difference between sex scenes or regular plot scenes. At times the narrator spews fast narration as if she got called to read out loud in class and is just trying to get through as fast as she can.

Overall if the book gets re-recorded with a director and/or a different narrator, I will. definitely give it a listen.

I rarely write reviews as I normally have little to say about the books, as I just enjoy the distraction of everyday life. HOWEVR, this one might have a storyline, and may even be a good book overall, but you can not get past the narrators extreme monotone and total lack of interest in performing the story. I had to go back and check to ensure it wasn't one of the Virtual voices, as it was as bad as 10 year old Text to speech technology. If there is a part out there where you need a android voice that is severely robotic... you have a winner here for a voice talent.

I deleted the book, as I know I will never be able to make it through the book...I gave it 5 Chapters, and my brain couldn't take anymore.

Learned a valuable lesson. I read the summary without reading the reviews. Worst narration ever. I bought both books and only made it through two hours of the first. Really wish that I could get my money back.
