The Last Humans

Oasis, the last habitable area on post-apocalyptic Earth, is meant to be a paradise, a place where everyone is content. Vulgarity, violence, insanity, and other ills are but a distant memory, and even death no longer plagues the last surviving humans. Theo, a 23-year-old Youth, has never fit in with the serene, age-divided Oasis society. But it's only when he starts hearing a girl's voice in his head that he realizes that nothing is what it seems.

My name is Theo, and I'm a resident of Oasis, the last habitable area on Earth. It's meant to be a paradise, a place where we are all content. Vulgarity, violence, insanity, and other ills are but a distant memory, and even death no longer plagues us.

Yesterday, I learned all of Oasis's secrets - or so I thought. As a new danger arises, the long-awaited Birth Day celebration turns into a nightmare, and this time, there may be no escape.

What does it mean to be human? What does it mean to be real? I thought we were out of danger. I thought we'd outwitted our enemies. I was wrong. As my world is torn apart, survival may not be what I expected.
