When the God of Darkness is killed in cold blood and his power is released into the atmosphere only to tether itself to his murderer, the universe is plunged into chaos by the imbalance of light and dark energy. The two Light Celestials controlling the stars and satellites, representing creation and destruction, imbue a race of humans with their powers to restore balance.

Jade and Axel are the first light warriors in over a millennium and forced to confront an enigmatic villain with the powers of darkness. They are fated to be the last of their kind—whether that means dying at their dark counterpart's hands or finally defeating him.
