London takes us back to the Pleistocene when we still lived in the trees. Written in the first-person, the story revolves around the vivid, interlocking dreams from childhood that involve racial memories and the knowledge of his prior existence as a man-like creature named Big Tooth.

A primitive band of humans, the survivors of 40 generations of a crashed space liner, struggle to survive on a planet where giant insects rule, the result of an incomplete seeding experiment because of a lost punch card. Separated from his tribe, young Burl, the main character of the story, begins to think in new ways and eventually leads his people to a better life. The audiobook is particularly interesting in that it has almost no dialogue between the characters, yet is so well written that you don't care.

Old Mr. Toad is the main character in this audiobook. He teaches the listener lessons about thinking before talking, downside of self-pride, and how important old friends can be. Old Mr. Toad believes he is very smart and considers it a duty to teach his friends in the Green Forest important facts. There is even a villain in the book, Mr. Blacksnake.

Jimmy Skunk is slow and avoided by his neighbors because of the perfume that Mother Nature has given him for protection. But his perfume doesn't keep Peter Rabbit from playing a trick on both Jimmy and Reddy Fox. When Jimmy thinks Reddy has pulled the joke, Reddy gets a dose of Jimmy's perfume as punishment. Most folks think Reddy Fox deserves what he gets because he is always trying to catch and eat Jimmy's friends.

Then, after Unc' Billy Possum sees the same thing, others begin to wonder what this strange thing is. Peter eventually learns the truth of what scared him and together with his friends, they start scaring Green Forest predators such as Reddy Fox, Granny Fox, and Ole Man Coyote. But, what is it that is scaring them up on Prickly Porky's hill?

The Boy Scouts of Woodcraft Camp is the first of Thornton Burgess' Boy Scout books. It features Walter, a scout who has never been to camp. Walter and his fellow scouts experience new adventures. They discover and appreciate people of different backgrounds. As with all Thornton Burgess books, the author promotes good moral lessons for the young reader and listener.

Jolly Robin is a happy go lucky bird. He does tend, however, to stick his nose into other animals' business and believes that perhaps, they should sing or act like him. Help for Bowser comes from an unlikely source, which proves that there is some good in everyone. As with all Thornton W. Burgess stories, young listeners gain positive values while learning a great deal about the animals that share their world. Burgess was a conservationist and author of children's stories. He loved the beauty of nature and its living creatures so much that he wrote about them for 50 years.

The Adventures of Johnny Chuck tells the story of a feisty woodchuck named Johnny. Johnny decides he is unhappy with his home in the Green Forest and elects to venture into the wide, wide world. As he wanders he gets into a territory fight with another chuck, discovers a new home, learns there is some good in all, and discovers the most wonderful thing in the world.
