As Saxon and Associates try to track down and stop the man behind the lethal golem, Manhattan erupts in flames. Pursued by the police, who suspect that Saxon and his aides are behind the lumbering horror, the Man with the Green Eyes, Jerry and Weed have only a single evening to destroy the creature and save the city.

A series of bizarre deaths erupts, first in New York and then in Washington. Men are seemingly falling to their deaths inside skyscrapers, leaving no clue but their battered bodies. The Man With the Green Eyes, Jerry and Weed investigate, and then the masterminds behind a terrible new weapon strike directly at their headquarters, seeking to head them off before they can fit all the pieces of the puzzle in place. The final battle takes place on and above the Hudson River.

Anthony Saxon, a mysterious troubleshooter better known as The Man with the Green Eyes, suddenly finds himself and his two aides involved in the mystery of the Purple Goblin and his unholy plans to spread death and destruction across the land.
