It's exactly what you're hoping it is. The course includes the teaching sequence and objectives for the first 7+ orchestra group, troubleshooting, tried-and-true instructional delivery, plenty of photo and video footage to see the correct way to do everything for string technique. Happy New Year! Today it seemed like a good idea to take a break from professional development and talk about other needs for teachers- health.

How are your New Year's resolutions going? Are some related to mental health at all? Last episode was about physical health and I was going to have a section on mental health and realized I should just include it in another episode, so here we are!

The argument to be had in this episode is that more frequent improvisation opportunities leads to more comfort and stronger audition skills in students, which in turn leads to students performing at a higher level when given different opportunities.
