Darien Urban, 21, and Shalene Ehlers, 20, face felony charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and attempting to accept compensation for relinquishment of a minor. The Benton County Sheriff's Office said it received a call on Sept. 21 from the manager of the Hide Away Campground reporting that the couple "tried to give up the baby for a 6-pack of beer and then wanted $1,000 for the baby," according to an affidavit, WREG reported. The pair signed a letter granting custody of their child before handing the boy over to someone else, and even included a disclaimer that the child could not be returned.

Police in the northern canton of Schaffhausen bordering Germany said the so-called “Sarco” capsule had been deployed. Prosecutors in Schaffhausen have opened criminal proceedings against several people for “inducing and aiding and abetting suicide,” a police statement said, adding several people were detained, without giving details about them or the deceased. Cast along sleek, aerodynamic lines, the “Sarco” causes death when its occupant releases nitrogen gas inside, lowering the amount of oxygen to lethal levels. Switzerland has been a magnet for advocates of assisted suicide due to laws that make it legal there, and The Last Resort says its legal advice was that it could be deployed. The capsule has generated considerable media attention and discussion among authorities on whether they would allow it.

This touring production is delivered out of a vintage convertible. The show contains strong language and content and is recommended for those 18 years of age and older. Halstenberg, who lives in Norco, nearly 50 miles away from where the Line Fire started, was arrested on Sept. 9 for arson. Investigators said they were able to use license plate readers and other means that put the 34-year-old in the vicinity of where the fire started in Highland on Sept. 5 and added that they have surveillance footage among other evidence collected during the investigation.
