• Episode #185: Sarah Plowman
    Mar 4 2025

Elle Russ chats with Sarah Plowman - who after spending her 20s bartending in Philadelphia, got married, had two boys and fully embraced stay at home mom life - sourdough starter and all.

Six years later she found herself going through a divorce and back in the restaurant business when COVID shut the world down.

Sarah had recently hired a life coach to figure out her post-divorce life, and the impact this had on her was profound. For the first time she felt that her inner confidence matched how she appeared to the world.

Although starting a coaching business with no niche, no certification and no experience sounded crazy, Sarah knew she had to get the tools of life coaching in the hands of as many women as possible. So she started talking to people and offering to help them. She started an Instagram account. She brought hand written signs to the playground offering to coach strangers for free while the kids played.

People noticed. After nearly a year of general life coaching, other online coaches began asking Sarah for help magnetizing premium clients by creating authentic, organic content on Instagram.

In 2024 Sarah founded the Magnetic Membership to bring her movement to a wider audience.

Inside she teaches her simple yet effective formula to get rich while doing life-changing, heart-centered work.

Her goal is to help women turn their delusions into reality (because how fun is that) - and watch the cash roll in as a strategic byproduct.

From divorced, single mom to CEO of a coaching brand set to cross $1m in 2025, Sarah is an example of what's possible.

When she’s not coaching Sarah is getting sushi with her kids, at ballet class, prepping for her first Latin dance competition, or parading the streets of Philadelphia in a fabulous hat.

  • Episode #178: Elle Russ - The 10th Man Principle
    Jan 14 2025

In this episode, Elle Russ dives into a fascinating concept rooted in one of the most sophisticated intelligence agencies in the world: Mossad. The 10th Man Principle was developed to combat the dangerous effects of groupthink—where harmony overrides critical evaluation. This principle mandates that if nine people in a group agree on a decision, the 10th person must dissent, ensuring every angle is rigorously tested.

We explore the origins of this strategy in intelligence work and its relevance to personal and professional life. From preventing blind spots to fostering innovation and resilience, this mindset can help you make better decisions, whether in career moves, relationships, parenting, or even life-or-death scenarios.

Join me as I share practical ways to apply this principle, real-life examples—including a life-saving decision during the 2018 Woolsey Fire—and how cultivating dissent can lead to wisdom, growth, and success.

Tune in to learn how you can harness the power of the 10th Man Principle in your life.
