• 9 // Britt Ratcliff - The Acai Queen
    Feb 7 2023

My next guest took me so long to lock in, however we made it and my god was it worth the wait, episode 9's guest is the Acai Queen, Britt Ratcliff. Britt is the proud owner of Acai Brother's Port Melbourne and the up and coming greeting cards start up, Forget Me Not Collective. It's fair to say this chick is one hell of a worker and has some very exciting years ahead with both her businesses. She takes us on her journey from attending university after achieving a 97 ATAR at school, where she quickly realised that following a career in the legal sector may not be all what she set it out to be. She decided to leave university and enter full time work to ensure she was making the right decision in following her legal dream. Cut a long story short, she came across the Acai Brothers franchise, it was love at first sight and soon enough she had entered the AB network and locked in a location on the famous Bay Street in Port Melbourne.  We discuss how she went from moving her whole life to a new area, knowing no one, embedding herself within the community to now five years later being a key local business within the Port Philip council. She walks us through how she balances an active lifestyle, key challenges she has faced over the last five years and some serious health decisions she has made to ensure that she is unlocking her potential in her 2023 sizen. To connect and follow with Britt hit her up on her insta @brittany__ratcliff and support her 2 booming businesses @acaibrothersportmelbourne & @forgetmenot_collective.

  • 8 // Malin Perera - Fresh Seeker of F***ed Up Challenges
    Jan 9 2023

As its the first episode of Post Sweat Sizen, I thought it was fitting to interview a very special individual who just became a Guinness World Record Holder and who is a fresh seeker of fucked up challenges, Malin Perera. Malin is a 21 year old young legend who is a beautiful, unique soul with balls of energy. He has recently become a seeker of some pretty serious fucked up challenges, pushing both his physical and mental capacity. We talk about his journey from leaving school to entering the corporate world to becoming a personal trainer and what drives him to hyperfocus on working towards something. We discuss the individual journey he went on throughout 2 of the key challenges he has currently completed. The first being a 24 hour assault bike challenge for Mission Australia and also to break a Guinness World Record. The second challenge was the Melbourne Full Marathon (for those of you who don't know its a 42km run). He walks us through his ‘delusional optimism’ and being present in those moments and gives us an interesting insight into his journey of the ‘post challenge blues’ and his body’s recovery. We can confirm that his next challenge is to complete the Ironman in Cairns Australia in June 2023 which he has just begun training for.

I could not think of a more fitting guest to welcome the podcast back to life. For episode 8, I sit down with Liv Lamprill (aka nourishinglively), where we chat about her journey in building her own social media empire and how she ensures she prioritises her health to maintain her productive regime. Liv has always lived a healthy, active lifestyle which inspired her to study a sports science degree at Deakin but it was her house mate’s ability to pick up on her natural talent of creating content of her famous smoothie bowls and stacked pancakes that has led her to becoming a successful digital creator guru. Liv’s brand; Nourishinglively__, has enabled her to build a community of like-minded individuals which has resulted in creating her own social media agency where she employed her first ever employee last year! Her ability to cultivate a community along with her natural ability to generate remarkable content has led her to working with several different brands including, Chia Co, Acai Brothers, F45, 99th Monkey, Minor Figures, Inky by Miti & Bite me Fine Foods – just to name a few. For episode 6, I virtually sit down with Darcie Alderwick, the boss lady behind Darcie Ellen Nutrition. We chat about Darcie's own journey with exercise and eating and how she has created a healthy relationship with food that motivates her everyday to assist others in maximising their health in a positive and sustainable way.
