    Progressive muscle relaxation meditations are one of the most evidence-based mindfulness techniques for pain relief, based on decades of research and success.


    It allows us to understand what tension and relaxation feel like in the body, ensuring we’re not inadvertently tensing muscles that could lead to more pain. You’ll notice it continues to improve each time you practice it.


    Be careful when engaging certain muscle groups and don’t pressure yourself to tense anything you’re not comfortable with. And be sure to take the breathing element at your own pace, ensuring you feel comfortable. Really hope it helps, warrior.

    The brain can have a really hard time differentiating between real and imagined experiences. Thankfully, we can use this to our advantage, especially when dealing with life's difficult moments.

    Visualising things going well can ease fear and anxiety by creating a positive mindset and fostering a sense of control over the situation that’s causing us stress - allowing us to show up differently in the world. This is particularly helpful for endo warriors, who can so often feel like we're lacking control because of our intense pain.

    This mantra reminds us warriors that we can approach a busy day without fear or stress, because we’ve got all the tools we need to nail it. It was given to me by my amazing therapist years ago and helps me all of the time.
