Syracuse Orange Football earned a thrilling victory over the AP Top 25 UNLV Rebels 44-41 in overtime in Allegiant Stadium on Friday night. Fran Brown's team played its best game of the season, surpassing its effort over the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. Kyle McCord and Fadil Diggs had great games for Syracuse, answering the bell from Fran Brown. LeQuint Allen and Yasin Willis proved that the Orange have one of the better running back rooms in the ACC, if not the FBS.

Syracuse Orange Basketball recruiting target Kiyan Anthony trimmed his list to three schools with On3's Joe Tipton just a couple of days ago. Adrian Autry's squad made the cut along with the USC Trojans and Auburn Tigers. Syracuse would be a place of comfort given his father Carmelo Anthony went there. Syracuse Orange Football secured a verbal commitment from 2025 four-star safety Demetres Samuel Jr. Samuel was originally committed to the Florida Gators, but Fran Brown and Syracuse flipped him back. Syracuse Orange Basketball also landed its second commitment in the class of 2025 with three-star forward Aaron Womack. Womack joins five-star Sadiq White as the only two members of Adrian Autry's 2025 class. The Cuse is still in the running for four-stars Kiyan Anthony, Shon Abaev, Tyler Jackson, and Asher Elson.
