    Sep 24 2024
Lets talk about mobility aids and when they are and aren't needed. Not everyone that uses a mobility aid needs the assistance 24/7 and they aren't confined to the aid. (Apologizes for the added noises forgive me my mouth was dry while speaking)

  • Let's Talk Ableism
    Aug 30 2024
Let's learn a bit about ableism together. To put it very simply ableism is the belief that someone cannot or should not be able to do something simply because they are disabled. With this episode a bit about ableism is explained to hopefully shine a light on the issue and make the world a more tolerant and welcoming place to the disabled community :)

  • Depression, Emotional Support, and How Pets Can Play A Role
    Jul 19 2023
Todays episode is about disability and depression; coping skills and how pets can play a role. Depression is a very serious condition and I felt it was something that had to be discussed because it is prominate in the Cerebral Palsy and general disability community. This podcast and episode are NOT meant to take the place of medical professionals or medical advice. If you are actively stuggling with depression for any reason lean on your support system and consider seeking advice from a licensed medical professional. This episode is intended solely to be educational and shine a light on the link between disability and depression, and to provide some coping skills I have learned presonally as someone with a disability that also stuggles with depression. Always remember you are strong and importantant and dealing with depression is a continuous battle. Like the old saying goes it's a marathon not a sprint.
