Concise and Practical

Written by British authors, their approach is based on over 20 years of experience. It comes as no surprise to me that it is the parents or caregivers who have the most influence and control over what their children eat and their physical activity. As much as some the schools "take over" this for parents, (schools, governments, clinics are all mentioned) bottoom line, unless parents are willing to put the effort in to teaching their children,by example , what healthy food is, and are willing to forgo the "easy way out" (fast food, convenience foods, etc), the incidence of childhood obesity will continue to rise. What concerns me is the discussion of bariatric surgery - everything in my being tells me that this level of obestiy, enough to warrant the discussion of surgery, is a symptom that something else is going on (child abuse & neglect come to mind). But it really does come down to the family, the parents, the caregivers - if healthy, nutritious eating is a priority, the children will have a better chance at overcoming their weight problems.

Save your money

This book was really bad. there wasn't anything everyone doesn't already know and made a lot of chauvinistic comments.
