About this listen

The What if Multiverse series tells short stories from outside our own little universe. Alternate versions of what could have happened in a multiverse similar to our own, but oh so different.

In Y2K: Panic Like It’s 1999, 14-year-old Josh figures out fast how crazy life can get when a little computer bug brings the world to its knees when all electricity and electronic devices stop working for good. Cannibalism, rogue gangs, and looting are just the start of his problems!

Exciting, Thrilling, yet short

Y2K: Panic like it's 1999 was written by Jason Lake and narrated by Robert Nieman. This post-apocalyptic “what if” tale was a fun read. The author was able to set the groundwork for an entertaining adventure series. He was able to accomplish this by writing believable characters and through solid yet subtle story telling build a world around these characters. The only downside to this listen is its length. As soon as the story had built up to full steam, the book was over.

The narrator Robert Nieman did a great job and was a perfect match for this tale. His voice acting was consistent throughout and caught the tone of the protagonist perfectly.

Editing, quality, and production were on par with most books I have listened to. It was clear, with no issue regarding sound or quality.

Great story's

Amazing read with lot of twists and turns. Something to definitely think about "if" this ever happens to us in the real world. Josh and the characters he met along his journey were also fun to meet. Would like to read a Part more parts. I really enjoyed this book, & I am pretty certain you will as well! Recommend to all!
