I have read the entire series and I know it is going to end, but I really really don’t want it to.
I love her writing style, I was crying through the fire scenes with Sam and all the death and destruction but it was such an important part of real life.

Perfection
As always, Sarah Lyons Fleming writes charcaters that just feel like part of your family. The world she builds with her words is amazing and puts you right in the action. While the story is fiction, everything feels so real I forget that I can't just check in with the characters and see how they're doing no matter how many times I reread.

Favorite Author
Years ago I found Sarah's books by chance. She is now my favorite author. After the previous books in the Cascadia series I wasn't sure what else they could go through. Sarah managed to write another great book with plausible and gripping story lines. There are a lot of characters but in a good way (hint: use the Audible bookmark feature to add notes about characters, it makes it easier to keep things straight). Will be anxiously waiting for the next book.

Mia Gaskin nearly ruins this series.
Once again, SLF has created a zompoc masterpiece. And once again Clara’s narrator steals some of my enjoyment of those POV chapters.
I truly believed no one could surpass Anne Flosnik as the worst voice I’ve ever heard, but Mia Gaskin tops the cake. It’s frustrating and disappointing that the producer gave the job to three talented narrators and the fourth position to a baby-voiced woman who can’t handle masculine dialogue and creates these awkward pauses between paragraphs, even at 1.3x speed.
It’s too bad SLF wasn’t allowed to choose narrators. I don’t think Mia Gaskin would’ve made the short list.
